Concerned Generation

In the USA it is called the "X generation" (X stands for the unknown). In France it is called the generation of the "babies boudeurs" in opposition with the baby-boomers. We are said to be caught between an economical crisis and out parents' generation, who already created everything. This is supposed to stifle us, to isolate us and to suppress any desire to react, to keep us within the family cocoon for as long as possible.

It is important for us to find another truth other than the pessimistic one usually presented by the media,. That is why we have created a humanitarian association called "Concerned Generation", which aims at showing our capacity to react. In that way, we have decided to be players in one of the most important struggles which are linked to our generation, that is FIGHTING AIDS!. The battle of course concerns everyone and must be fought by everyone, but it seems to us that our generation must be particularly active.

I am a member of the Concerned Generation, the aim and originality of our association is to give NEARLY 100% OF ALL COLLECTED FUNDS back to international research organizations and associations which support the sick. Usually nearly 50% of all the money collected by similar associations are spent on administrative costs and advertising. For our association, all of the administrative costs are covered by contributions from its active members, which means we can donate all of the funds collected to help the fight against AIDS.

A side purpose for my trip around the world is to make known our association and its goals. We can get a lot of publicity without the associated advertising expenses. The association bylaws are designed to guarantee that none of the funds given towards the fight against AIDS will be used to subsidize my trip around the world.

If you would like to make a donation to help the fight against this deadly disease, please make checks payable to AIDS RESOURCES CENTER and mail them to:
