ARE YOU READY FOR SOME HUMP-DAY
SKATING ACTION?
Are you looking to improving you skating. Do you want to do the Friday Night
Skate, but you're not quite ready for it all? Do you just want to have a great time
skating on a Wednesday night? We are going to present an opportunity for you to learn to
improve your skating and have a great time It's time to get rollin' on
Wednesday evenings in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Wednesday Night Skate will begin at the Ferry Building at Market
St. and the Embarcadero on the waterfront. Skaters will meet in the plaza area
between the east and west lanes on the Embarcadero.at 7:00 P.M. At 7:30 we will skate
along the Embarcadero to AT&T Stadium. We will circle the stadium, skate
along the pier behind the stadium and head back back the other direction to Pier 39. We'll
skate the Pier and roll along Fishermen's Wharf to the water fountain at Aquatic Park.
Here we will turn around and head back towards the Ferry Building.
Outdoor skating is a fantastic way to get a great workout while having a great time.
This is a very casual skate that is designed for people who want to work on their
skating skills and work their way up to the Friday Night Skate. We would like to give
youth and adults alike an opportunity to experience what a great sport and fun, healthy
activity inline skating and roller skating can be.
THE CORA SK8FIT PROGRAM
Sk8Fit means that you have put in time and effort to meet the challenge of
personal fitness through skating. Skaters participating in the C.O.R.A. Sk8Fit Program can
earn credit on the SF-WNS towards the CORA SkateFit Award. To earn the award a
participant must at least skate minimum 50 hours; no more than 1 1/2 hours credited daily.
Participants can accumulate those hours through training sessions and other weekly skating
adventures on Saturdays in Golden Gate Park, the 1:00 Loop on Sundays in Golden Gate Park,
on Wednesdays evenings in the Embarcadero and on Friday evenings on the San Francisco
Friday Night Skate.
We are planning to bring skates for rent to help boost this humpday nightskate. We
