| Could PETA be wrong. Are California's cows really happy? If
so, why is that? No, it's not the cheese, IT'S THE SKATES!!! The
20th annual Union Street Easter Parade will mark the return of the cows to Cow
Hollow. Only in San Francisco would these cows be returning like this - ON SKATES!!!
We have been a part of this from the very beginning. Union Street is
part of the Friday Night Skate route, so the Union Street Merchants Association
is very familiar with us and has again invited us to come participate in the Easter Parade.
Thousands of people will be lining Union Street for the parade and
celebration. We have been consider one of the big highlights of the
parade as we skate the "Serpentine" and perform the Cha Cha Slide, the
Cupid Shuffle and Thriller.
The parade will take place
Sunday, April 24, 2011. Skaters will meet a 1:00 PM. on Green St. at
Gough. The parade will begin at 2PM. We have about 25 cow costumes and
masks and some bunny masks as well. People should wear white
clothing and show up early to get a parking space. Kids are
welcome, but the costumes we have run large.
The parade will start on Green at Gough St. We will follow
Gough 1 block to Union Street. We will skate west on Union to
Fillmore. We will turn right and follow Fillmore 1 block and then
turn right to regroup. After that we will head back to Golden Gate
Park and skate the day away at Skatin' Place.
It's going to be a fantastic experience as the cow's will be rockin' and rollin' to the tune,
"Who Let The Cows Out - Moooo Moooooo"
This will be the best Easter parade ever. The event organizers are very impressed with
the energy we bring to the event. If you would like to skate with us in the parade, Please
