Fabrice Gropaiz of France was the first person to skate around the world solo on inline skates. He departed from San Francisco on March 30 1996, and crossed the USA, Europe, Russia, Mongolia, China, Australia, and is now back to San Francisco for his final arrival in Los Angeles in March 1999.
