Kennedy Drive in Golden Gate Park will be closed to all car traffic on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. This is due to a petition drive we launched to close the park on Saturdays about 8 years. The Recreation and Parks Commission said no to the Saturday closure, but they said yes to 7 holiday closures per year.
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day are all days when the park is closed to traffic.
It is your duty to get out there and skate!!!!!!!!!
I will be bringing out the music at 11:00 A.M. Hope to see plenty of skaters there.
