SAN FRANCISCO INLINE SKATERS PROMOTE
THE Click here to watch Kim and the GodFather on NBC Click here to see the USA Speedskaters on NBC People were very surprised to see the USA Speedskating Team blazing along the Embarcadero in San Francisco as you drive to work in the morning. At lunch time, the USA Hockey Team was spotted in San Jose training outside the Shark Tank. Some people reported seeing the USA Figure Skaters in Oakland preparing for competition at Jack London Square. San Francisco Bay Area skaters were very excited about the Torino Winter Olympic Games. They dressed up and skated as their ice Olympic counterparts promoting the Olympic Games in San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland and Berkeley every day beginning Fri. Feb. 3 until Sat. Feb. 11, 2006 Inline racers have been crossing from asphalt over to the ice and winning gold. Apolo Ohno and Derrick Parra did it in the last Olympics. It was great to watch Chad Hedrick, Shani Davis, Joey Cheek, Jennifer Rodrigeuz, KC Boutiette, and others will follow the same path. We believe the Torino Olympics will be a boom for skating. Participation in events and races this coming spring and summer will rise because of interest generated from the success of this year’s Olympic Speed Skating team. While Summer Olympic organizers may not include inline skating as an Olympic sport, inline skaters are finding their way to gold on the ice - and others will surely follow. Keep Rollin', D.
