RAIN, WIND, SUN - EVERYTHING UNDER THE RAINBOW Rain, Rain Go Away!!!! This was the theme song of the day in San Mateo, Ca. as the California Outdoor Rollerskating Association presented the Greg Levien 50 Kilometer Memorial Roadskate. The event featured some of the worst weather we've had this winter in California. It also featured the most beautiful rainbow many skaters had ever seen. These participants represent the die-hard sprit of skating. It was quite easy to look out your window and then roll back into the covers feeling confident that no one would be out on Canada Road skating in this weather. However, the rain stopped at 6:45 A.M. exactly as we had planned. Skaters began showing up. When Dan Burger rolled up in Robert's van, everyone knew that the race was on and it was time to get ready to roll. |
