| For those of you who don't know,
Dan Burger has been a member of our San Francisco Bay Area skating family for many years.
He has skated in many of the events we have presented over the years including the SF
to LA "Skate Against Violence", The SF to Santa Cruz "Bridge to
Boardwalk Roll", the Calistoga Roadskate and many, many more. Dan is one
of the pioneers of the X-Games Inline Downhill and has truly made his mark as a major
personality on the world class skater scene Last September Dan took a devastating fall
in the Inline Downhill World Championships in Italy. His knee was and leg was terribly
damaged and complications after the accident almost caused the leg to be
amputated. He has begun the operations begin repair of his knee. He has
insurance that will cover most specific medical care, but he can't earn a living in
his current condition. We know these are hard times for Dan and we want to help
him. We think you would want to help as well.
We at CORA are planning something that will help Dan, at
least through the summer and help boost the skate scene in Northern California. It's
being called the Dan Burger Points Series. These will take place about once a month on
